Raventree Hollow Empty Raventree Hollow

This secluded but popular country town in Minnesota is centered around Lake Valor. The town exists almost solely on tourism, since the nearest town is three hours away, leaving Raventree Hollow to fend for itself. From fishing in the summer on Lake Valor that happens to be one of the most popular fishing lakes in Minnesota to ice fishing in the winter where the fish are even more abundant. Swimming, four wheeling, camping, boating, hunting, fishing, water skiing - almost anything you can think of involving a gorgeous lake and town can be found here.

The entire town is surrounded by trees, some of the oldest in Minnesota. The trees not only grow taller than any buildings that exist there, but are so vast that a very green and prosperous forest surrounds the town. There's only one entry and exit into the town.. the only other way out is through the woods. The main tourist buildings are placed along the lake along with a few expensive looking cabins. Further back are the random but still very much needed shops for the residents of Raventree Hollow. One school is here, just a very small one because of the lack of students that actually live here. The residents themselves have houses littered throughout the woods and a very few right in the middle of the town.

The weather here is different from the rest of Minnesota and people account that for the fish filled seasons. Raventree Hollow is almost always raining or covered with large thick clouds. The town is mostly known for the fact that the sun hardly ever makes an appearance and the residents keep track, for tourism purposes, of the amount of days it's been between clear, sunny days. Which can range anywhere from a week to two or three months. The record was eight months in the early 90's.

The lack of sun, the lake always full of enormous fish and the fact that there's hardly ever any crime here are highly unusual but no one questions it since it's obviously working so well for the town and the residents.
