Julian Carver

Julian Carver was born just before the 19th century began. His father and mother were criminals and as a young child, Julian began to learn the art of persuasion. As he got older, he followed his family’s footsteps in living a life of dishonesty. He had the ability to trick women out of anything as well as making men believe he was a great trustworthy man himself. Julian went through life happily by simply manipulating everyone around him. It was as if no one could withstand his charm until it was too late.

One late night, while Julian was preparing for his next scam a beautiful woman found him saying she had an offer for him that would make his life so much better. Her promise of an endless life of fortune intrigued him enough to let him agree. A few days later, Julian woke from his agony to begin his new life as a vampire. The temptress that changed him help him adjust to his new life and used him as her little toy until he became too power for her to control.

Julian’s knack for manipulating people manifested in his vampire form as hypnotic eyes. With his ability, Julian could make anyone, human or vampire, do whatever he wanted. While the hypnotism didn’t last forever, as long as he remember to remain focused and continued to hypnotize the persona regularly, Julian could keep a person under his control for years. Once Julian had perfected his ability he used it to determine what his maker had in mind for him. As it turned out her plan was to kill him once he was of no more use to her. Julian had her killed first instead.

While as a human Julian took after his parents, as a vampire he took after his maker. Julian began to find vampires that could be beneficial to him and the life he wanted and used them until either they learned better, or he got bored. The latter was what occurred most often.

As a vampire, Julian’s enjoyment of manipulating people has also increased. Now he finds pleasure in the pain his manipulations can cause. The torment he can cause his prey (as well as the vampires under his control) is the only thing now that makes him happy and enjoying ‘life.’ Julian’s torment can range from massacring entire communities to stalking a single prey for months, slowly ruining their lives in whichever way the mood strikes him.

For the past decade Julian as began searching for a vampire he once held under his control. She was one of the few that were able to get away on her own without him getting bored first. After seeing a human girl that resembled her, Julian’s fascination for the lost vampire had grown. Now his manipulations have been progressively leading him to her.
